Can I control my Mac from my iPad or iPhone?
Yes. Install Volero Host on the Mac and Volero on your iPad or iPhone, then enter the access code shown on the Mac.
Does it work away from home?
Yes. Connect over your own iCloud, or add your Mac by address. Volero works with private networks such as Tailscale, whose free plan links your own devices from anywhere without port forwarding.
Does it work on Apple Vision Pro?
Yes, as a native visionOS app that shows your Mac as a large window in your space.
Can I control an iPhone or iPad remotely?
No remote desktop app can: Apple doesn't allow it. Volero controls Macs from any Apple device.
Is it free?
Yes, for controlling your own Macs. A one-time Pro lifetime unlock adds the managed relay and power features; Business adds team tools.
Do I need an account?
No. Volero connects your devices directly through your own iCloud — there's nothing to sign up for.
Why isn't Volero Host on the Mac App Store?
The Host needs deep access to move your mouse and keyboard, which Mac App Store apps can't have — so it's a notarised download, signed and checked by Apple. The app you control from is a normal App Store app.
Can I wake a sleeping Mac?
Yes — use Wake This Mac, as long as the Mac is set to wake for network access.
Can I require Face ID before connecting?
Yes — turn on "Require Face ID to prove this device" so a lost or stolen device can't reach your Macs.
